One Awesome game Jul 30, 2010 I think this game is worth the money. I enjoyed it a lot. The controls are simple to understand. I figured them out in a few minutes. I think that this game is best for people who one, like fighting, two, like puzzles, three, like adventure. So I would not recommend this a five-year old for two reasons. One, the puzzles require a lot of patience and advanced thinking, and two, some levels might frighten children. For example, there is this one level where Peter needs a grappling hook so he can climb up the cliff. So he and Edmund go into this cave to find it. You have to wander around in this dark, somewhat spooky cave with a torch that can be blown out by the wind gusts blowing in the cave if you are not careful. And when your torch is out, the bats come after you. You can't see, them, but they maul you and kill you. Killer bats. Not exactly a happy, peaceful kind of level. And another level where the Pevensies search for their treasure. There are giant cockroaches scurrying all over the floor. So it's an awesome game for kids who can distinguish graphic video games from real life, but it might give your little kid nightmares. If you're 10 yrs or older, though, you will love this game. The first time I played, I didn't stop for hours! Though I do think that it's more of a boy game. I'm a boy, and I love it, but I don't think most girls are very much into this type of game. I mean, the female characters do have their scenes in the game, but their scenes are violent too. Lucy throws daggers (in essence, short swords) and Susan, along with her bow and quiver of arrows (which is never empty, by the way) has a light sword! No kidding! So they are just as violent. Overall, this game is really cool for preteens, (though I think it's geared toward the male audience), but not a good choice for small children. It does fit its rating of T for Violence. I love this game, it is the highlight of my game library.
5 stars!!!
P.S. The game contains never before seen clips that didn't make it into the movie! With the same actors and everything!
a change of pace from the usual ... so much charm Jul 13, 2010 I fully enjoyed playing this game it allowed me to take a break from the usual gore feast type games xbox 360 typically has in their selection. The charm this game brings a certain type of magic, it's not just pretty to look at (it has really nice graphics) at times this game is also reasonably challenging. Take the stronger elements of any Harry Potter game combine them with challenging puzzles you may find in Tomb Rader (only nowhere near as complex) This game should have been warmer received by the critics but for some reason it wasn't and it got dismissed as junk .. well it isn't. Being completely objective as I have not seen the film this come from or read the book this game has opened up my imagination to explore those avenues next because I find the depth of imagination depicted here in this game to be fascinating.
Boring! Apr 30, 2010 Wow this game sucks on so many levels! It's a old Narnia styled rehash of every other Gauntlet style game.
Very fun Co-Op game Mar 29, 2010 Lots of fun to play in co-op mode! It's fun to figure out what to do/solve the puzzles.
Prince Caspian Mar 15, 2010 The game is fun for kids, but give very confussing direction for the younger crowed, which this game is more geared to. If you are a more experienced Wii user, you will be bored very quickly, but my 7 year loves it. Especially since he loved the movies.
