5On Behalf of a Avid Collapse Fan  Dec 29, 2007 By DC "goldcoleman"
I gave my mom a DS and Super Collapse as a Christmas gift. My mom is a Collapse junkie. She has played it for years on the PC, her Palm and her cellphone. She loves this version. She called me the day after she got it and raved about all it could do compared to other formats.

4Fairly good puzzle game for a few spare minutes a day  May 14, 2008 By Paullywog
I was always a fan of Collapse on PC so when I saw this on DS for such a cheap price I knew I had to go for it. The only things I wish were better are online multiplayer and single cartridge multiplayer. But as far as collapse has always been, there's nothing to complain about here.

There are a few new interesting play modes that mix it up and the quest mode will keep you occupied for a while. If you don't have any puzzle games on DS and are looking for a good one or have always enjoyed Collapse, go for it. But just remember there are a lot of DS puzzle games and you may need more than one to fill your craving.

3Breakables  Aug 02, 2007 By Michael Kerner "Michael Kerner"
Within the past several years, many puzzle games have really delivered for every handheld system (PSP, Nintendo DS, and the soon to be no longer made Game Boy Advance). While there are those that have been worth the price like Tetris and Meteos for the Nintendo DS, there are just those that seem more and more like they are just a shell of themselves. Super Collapse is one of those games. While the game has done extremely well for the P.C. for your laptop needs, it hasn't clicked in well for anyone who owns a handheld. Now a new one has made its way onto the Nintendo DS, but is this worth the price?

Super Collaapse! 3 for the Nintendo DS takes on the classic puzzle game for your everyday needs. Nothing much has changed from before if you've played the earlier renditions of the puzzle game, which doesn't do enough to attract new puzzle gamers. The object of the game is simple. You have to knockoff two of the exact same colored blocks that are connected either across, or vertically. The stylus is used very well here, as you use it to knockoff those blocks, and try to clear your board. The graphics look good, but the sound and the gameplay is very tiring, and misses out on making this one better than the earlier versions. There also is a special store that you can also use to buy power-ups to help you throughout your challenges, but seems lakeluster when it works for other puzzle games like Meteos where it worked so well.

All in all, Super Collapse! 3 isn't a bad game to buy, if you haven't played any version beofre from the computer, or online. Unfortunately, it just doesn't add anything new to differ itself from earlier ones to make a well-worth puzzle game. I instead think you should try to download an earlier version online as a demo for the computer, and play it to your hearts' delight, and see if you like the addictive puzzle game series.

5Reminds me of Mario  Apr 04, 2008 By Rebecca A. Waddell
And I've got to say, I'm quite impressed. It's really easy for puzzle games to dip down into the category of mediocrity; after all, there are so many puzzle ideas that have been rehashed countless times. Yet, despite all that, Super Collapse! 3 actually manages to stay relatively fun and fresh. If you've ever played a click puzzle game online, then you've got a very good idea already how Super Collapse! 3 works. Blocks fill up on the bottom screen; when there's a group of three or more like-colored blocks, you can click it and it will disappear. The more blocks that you vanish with one tap, the more points you earn.

But the game play system is far deeper than just that. The puzzles, for the most part, are constantly growing. At the bottom, off of the feasible game screen, is a meter the width of the game screen. When the meter is full of blocks, those blocks will suddenly pop up on the bottom of your current stack, pushing the entire pile up one line. The rate of this meter varies depending on the puzzle that you're playing; sometimes the meter will fill up at a snail's pace, while at other times the meter will fill completely every time you tap the screen. It adds a nice bit of variety to the puzzles and keeps things fresh and interesting.

4Just like the online version, but taken a step further...!  Sep 08, 2008 By Durin IV "-Brother StoneCutter"
Super Collapse 3, for the most part, is just like the original online time-eater, but a little bit more, and a little bit better. They've taken the original premise a couple steps further by adding a couple of different types of game-play, but they also leave this gem unaltered for 'quick-play mode'. The DS's touch-screen controls are a much more efficient user interface (expect to increase your level-advancement by 50% by NOT using a mouse) even though the playfield is notably smaller than a 'standard' PC monitor. Ignore whatever trepidations you might have & give it a try; the only thing you have to lose is free-time... :D
--Warning: HIGHLY ADDICTIVE!--
