Spelling has never been so much fun! May 20, 2010 I've always been a fan of Word Games so I was excited when I got hold of this game. The games are easy enough but there are various challenges that one must overcome. Trying to get use to US English was something I had to overcome as am used to British English but it was a minor setback.
If one is a fan of Word Games, Spelling Challenges would be one to add to the collection. There are various stages & levels to suit each individual's needs so it caters to both kids above 10 and adults. You can choose the Practice mode to begin with & move on to the Challenge mode once you;re more confident. You'll then be rewarded with "cash" as the points scored are converted at the end of each game. You're also able to go to the Challenge level to test your ability which will unlock more games when you've completed the challenges.
I find these games addictive & interesting & would recommend them to anyone who enjoys Word Games. I've not regretted buying this game which both my kids(10 & 12 years)and I will enjoy for a long time. Look forward to more such Spelling Challenges games.

Grandson loves it Jan 07, 2010 Grandson wanted a Nintendo DSi for Christmas and I bought this game to go along with the Nintendo DSi. Reason is that the boy just loves playing games, but his mother does not like it because she feels he is not learning anything while playing games. Bought this game as a way to make all parties happy. Boy loves the game and is learning from it. He is in the second grade and already ahead of many others in his class. Happy. Would buy again

good challenge "you smarter then a fifth grader? May 06, 2009 Ya, like the game..Just got started on it and it is testing you . Was awed by how it puts you on a particular level according to your age.
Its not just a game you have to spell words ,but to also recognize their spelling and if its correct..I was'nt to bad at spelling when "I" was in school but my spelling skills have lagged .Found alot of words I miss spell ..HA.If your a word or spelling fan you'll like this one I think. It will also test you on nouns, verbs, adjetives "seee can't spell."HA.I think its a good game for brushing up on your language skills and spelling. Will be good for kids of all ages i believe since it puts you on a spelling level according to your age.Makes you think"."good for the brain" ha..
I recommend it highly"..

It's a spelling game which doesn't speak the words..... Nov 24, 2008 It is a spelling game where they flash the words to you before you type them, and the words are never read out load to the player. Then they make everything timed, so there is pressure to go fast. For someone who is learning a new word and learning to spell it, actually hearing the word is pretty critical. This is what spelling is about...you hear the word and then write it down, but in this case the developers took a few short cuts. My 7 year old son reads at a very high level, but I wanted him to recognize words he hears, so this game really falls for me.
Graphics are pretty weak, games aren't horrible, but nothing to write home about. Overall, I think it might be good for someone with a good vocabulary trying to refine their spelling and just have fun playing a game, but I bought this as a educational game for my kids. It might be fun, but I don't see much or any educational value in this game.
