5This was fun for me (41) and my daughter (5)  Aug 29, 2010
We both could play it and we both enjoyed it. There are four episodes with several levels each. The game was a lot of fun for us to play. My daughter asked to play it everyday, even though I didn't always let her do that. I think some of the mosters would be scary for younger kids and I was concerned about that with her. However, there is no blood or gore. When you defeat an enemy character, they disappear and leave behind Scooby Snacks. The bad guys can seem scary, but my daughter did not find any of it scary - she had fun. There are some Scooby cartoons that we don't let her watch because she does find them scary. The game is a little educational, but mostly in that it involves hand eye coordination. There are some thinking skills required, but a lot of stuff can be figured out thorugh trial and error. However, to open costume chests and some doors you have to stand in from of the chest or a control panel, push the Z button, and then push the directional arrows in a sequence shown on the screen. You also have to search around a bit for clues, Scooby dog tags (medallions), and to find out what you need to do in order to get a trophy. Once you complete a level, you can go back in (all except for the first one or two) in Explore mode. That allows you to check out things again without having to worry about unlocking the next level.

Also, there is no great penalty for dying and you don't really die - you just disappear and reincarnate (respawn) somewhere on the screen. The game is for two players simultanously, so that makes it fun for two people to work together. However, you could play by yourself and let the computer run the other character. I really like the way they did the screen it doesn't split. Both people are looking and interacting at the same screen. Some times that means that you have to work together in order to complete a challenge (so you can both see the screen, but that is part of the game).

I really enjoy playing this. We have gone through all the episodes, but we will likely go back in explore mode to check most of the other levels out again and try to complete additional challenges. For example, from the main screen you can go to the Rewards screen to see what trophies you have won and what is needed to get more. Sometimes you have to complete a level in less than a certain amount of time and others it might be about finding a special object or breaking 100 things. Again, I think the game is great!

5The best gift for my nephew  Aug 20, 2010
My nephew loves the cartoon Scoobydoo, so I wanted to get him the Wii game for his birthday. Well I'm am glad I checked Amazon first because this game was very inexpensive. My nephew who is 5 years old loved his birthday gift. He says this game is easy to learn how to play and as I can testify the game shows up fantastically. This game is definitely a good buy and your kids girl or boy would love it just as much as my nephew.

5Perfect for young boy  Aug 19, 2010
My son is almost 4. He LOVES this game. It took him about a month to get the hang of it, but now he can beat all the stages without our help. I highly recommend this game for young boys.

5cute and fun  Jul 27, 2010
It is the style of game I really enjoy with collecting items to complete it at 100%. Not to complicated and it is not so scary that a little kid would freak.

5We love it  Jul 26, 2010
I have two boys 5 & * and they love this game. The storyline is cute and they can't seem to get enough of it. The graphics are good and it is pretty easy to play. It seems like it takes 2 players working together to beat "The Boss," which is the end game of every chapter. Even I enjoy playing this game and watching them play. My one complaint about the game is that you aren't really solving the mysteries...you basically follow the path of the game and pick who you think the bad guy is based upon the easy to find clues (like his hat, or glove, ect.). Collecting the puzzle pieces of clues takes no skill. BUT this is a game for kids not adults, and they don't seem to mind that they are just moving through scenes and smashing everything in site to get scooby snacks and puzzle peices, and I didn't either! You can't go wrong with this game if you have young game playing children in your home.
