5Rabbid's Time Travel 3ds game - Very cute!  May 10, 2011 By Pebbles "Pebbles"
Hello I'm an autistic adult gamer.

This is my review on Rabbids Time Travel 3ds game.

Well I just started playing the rabbids 3DS & DS games this year & I can say this much the rabbid's series seem's to get cuter & funnier as each new rabbid game come's out.

Anyway's I love time travel even though it's fiction. This 3ds game is really funny with the cute bunny rabbit lol the game make's me laugh espicially when you take the bunny rabbit in the dressing area & he try's on different outfit's the expression's on the bunny's face are hilarious. I got my rabbid bunny dressed up in caveman outfit like the stone age lol. :)

The level's are pretty funny. As far as hard or easy goes the first planet your on with 16 level's it was really easy at least for me.

The pharaoh/dessert planet is a little more harder but not by very much. If you've ever played Mario before the 3ds game sort of play's like mario only instead of a relaxed plummer trying to save a princess you got a chubby bunny who's really hyper & might had adhd lol.

Crazy bunny in the 3ds game. :)

If you want a good laugh then defently get this 3ds game it would cheer anyone up. :)

Happy Gaming! (^_^)

4Rabbids Invade the Nintendo 3DS  Jun 14, 2011 By Lanjo
Our favorite Rabbids return in an all new side scrolling adventure for the Nintendo 3DS. The game holds the same name as the Wii party game (Rabbids Travel in Time.) However, unlike the Wii version there are no mini games. Therefore, if you were looking to have a handheld version of the party series this game may disappoint you.

At launch, Nintendo put a 2 GB limit on the game cards. This had many worried that 3DS games would be stripped down to the bone. After playing Rabbids 3DS, I can tell you that this was not the case. Rabbids 3DS contains four time periods giving it a grand total of 60 levels. Players are able to revisit previous levels through a mode called Stopclock. So essentially there are 120 levels.

How difficult is the game?

Rabbids 3D is a quick and easy game for anyone to pick up and play. While normally this is a good thing this quickly became a real negative. The levels may have been too easy. Although, some levels did become a little challenging but never difficult.

What other cool features are included?

After achieving a certain amount of points, players are able to unlock 3D trophies. I found them as a nice extra treat for beating a level. In addition, after playing through Stopclock mode puzzles of the Rabbids can be unlocked. Another cool feature is the ability to customize your rabbit. Every enemy rabbit has hats and other accessories that you can collect through out the game.

Does the game take advantage of the touchscreen?

No. This was a major disappointment as the touchscreen could have been used to navigate through the menu. I don't think the touchscreen would have worked for the game levels itself, but it could have been used in the dressing room and trophies menu.

Does the 3D effect the gameplay?

No. The 3D isn't really used well. This being the first side scrolling game for the 3DS, it's hard to judge how well 3D can be used for a side scrolling adventure. The only things that appeared 3D were the annoying fly that lands on the screen and the trophies you collect throughout he game.

Overall, how fun was the game? Is it worth the $40 price tag?

Overall, the game was fun. It did have a few negatives; however, I don't think the negatives out weigh the positives. I recommend that you pick up this game if you are a fan of the Rabbids and side scrolling adventures.

3Cute if you like Rabbids, but not a showcase of the 3D capabilities  Apr 12, 2011 By Heather N.
This game follows in the tradition of the Wii Rabbid games, mixing the cute and crazy Rabbids with a side-scrolling adventure game through various points in time. If you are a fan of these silly villans from the Rayman series, then you will probably enjoy the game. (If not, don't waste your money).
The gameplay is very reminiscent of Little Big Planet: requiring you to swing, move objects, etc to collect rubber duckies and reach the end of each level. There are instructions for each new element of the game(whether it's swinging from plants or taking care of a few bad Rabbids), so even novices can figure out how to play.
Having been an adaptation of an existing title for the Wii/DS, it is clear that the developers simply tweaked existing levels to give them a more 3D feel, without actually taking the time to truly create a 3D game. They play with the 3D capabilities of the 3DS, adding depth to the levels and interesting layering effects, but not really using the 3DS to it's full potential.
Since I received this game as a gift (and as my only 3DS game so far), I will say that it is a fun way to kill time when on the train, etc, because the levels are fairly easy and short. Although not necessarily appealing to your average gamer, I would recommend this game as an introduction to playing with 3D visuals (my eyes are less strained playing this than they are when playing some of the built-in mini games), for those who need a low investment game or for younger children (they say 7+, and it isn't violent or scary, that I've seen).
Personally, I would not pay the $30-40 price tag for this game, but when the price drops it would be worth looking into for those times when you don't have a lot of time to invest (or you are in public and don't want to/can't play some of the built-in games).

4Not Mario, but a fun game with Mario like control.  May 08, 2011 By Brooke Alexander
My brother gave me this game. I love the Mario games and he said this is as close to Mario as is available right now. At first I was very skeptical. I figured I would play this game only with my four year old boy. But the game surprised me.

First let me say that this game can't hold a candle to Mario, it does have it's strengths. It is a fun arcade like game where you jump and zip, smash, and collect things to give you points. It is a lot more fun than I had expected and I do find myself playing it without my boy on occasion as well. Though he does also like to watch the play ( in 2d of course).

Even though the game is a little repetitive at parts, it is fun for short bursts, and definitely great for the young ones. I would rate this game only three stars but it surprised me and became fun, so because of being pleastenly surprised I gave it a fourth star. Though it reall y should be three and a half, there just is no option for that.

3Rabbids Travel in Time  Feb 14, 2012 By Michael King
I will preface this review with the fact that I only paid about $15 for this title. Based on that price point, I think this was a pretty good game and worth the money I spent. If I had paid $40 for it, I think my thoughts would have been different.

I really like colorful platform games, so was instantly attracted when I found out this Rabbids game was a platformer. The game started off well, with levels that were fairly simple, but introduced you to the mechanics of gameplay and the various obstacles you would be encountering. As I played through the game though, I started noticing levels within a world that would be extremely difficult (where I would lose a large number of lives) but then find that the next level in that world seemed easy. I'm not sure if the developers purposely built that in to give the player a break after a hard level?...or if the level design was just poorly staged and inconsistent.

I personally didn't laugh very often playing the game, but felt like I was probably supposed to. There were a few scenes of the rabbids dancing that cracked me up, but throughout much of the game I kind of found them mildly annoying. My wife asked me to turn the volume down on quite a few occassions as she felt the noises they made in the game were very irritating.

The game kept my attention though and I want to say I played through it in about a week's time (playing during lunch hours and about 2 hours each night).

I thought the levels were pretty well designed and regularly introduced new challenges and brought in some good variety. On some levels you have freedom and no time limit, to just explore and try to collect as many points as you can. On other levels, the screen would automatically scroll and if you were too slow and the screen caught up with you, you lost a life and had to start over. On other levels there was quite a bit of underwater exploration involved, which really changed up the physics of controlling your rabbid. On other levels there would be boulders rolling around, cannon balls flying at head level, blades that you had to duck and hide under for a time, electrified or hot coal filled platforms that would flip from safe to dangerous at regular intervals. Overall, it seemed like a lot of thought went into trying to vary challenges and keep things interesting.

In the end, I would recommend this title to anyone who enjoys platform games and can get it for $15 or less. I think it's worth playing through at least once, and for me personally will be a game I keep and will probably play again down the road.
