Great Game! Mar 15, 2009 I got this game for Christmas and I really like it! First, you go to the adoption center and pick a huskey, golden retriever, or a chihuahua. Then, you take it home and play with it and pet it to make it grow up. Later you can unlock more breeds including:
Boxer
Yorkie
Pug
Schnauzer
Beagle
Poodle
German shephard
You unlock breeds by breeding your dogs.
You can also unlock special breeds by entering a code. If you enter a code you get a special toy and a special breed such as a fairy yorkie or a super hero huskey. Sometimes you will aslo get an outfit to dress your dog up in.
Unlike Nintendogs there are many rooms in your house. There is a kitchen, living room, closet, bathroom, front entrance, and a pet room. The pet room is where you put your dogs if there is no more room for them. You can have three dogs with you at a time, but you can have ten dogs in all.
BREEDING YOUR DOGS
To breed you dogs you need a full grown male and female. You let them play together (it takes 5 to 10 minutes) When there is a laughing face between the pictures of them on the top screen, they will have a puppy. What the puppy looks like depends on what its parents look like.
To make your puppy grow up you pet it until it has three hearts.
PARKS + PLACES
There are 4 places you can go to:
Snow Field
Park
Beach
Adoption center
You unlock these places by breeding your dogs with other the other dogs at the parks.
TOYS
You simply unlock toys by doing the park challenge (which is dog agility) or entering a code.
FOOD
Every day for 12 days you will get a new food or drink.
CLOTHES
You can unlock clothes by breeding, entering codes, or taking good care of your dogs.
HOUSE DESIGNS
You can unlock different house designs by breeding your dogs with other dogs at the parks.
OTHER STUFF
Other things you can do:
You can take pictures and save them
You can wirelessly play with friends
BAD THINGS ABOUT THIS GAME
Takes WAY to long to load when you are going places
The dogs are not very realistic (but its not a big deal)
It takes to long for the dogs to breed
Some of the puppies are ugly (but most of them are cute)
The dogs sometimes have unrealistic movements (like randomly standing on their hind legs)
The dogs do not pick up toys in their mouths, instead they will just bark at it.
Despite these things this is still a fun game and I recommend it to any dog lover.
P.S SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR REAL DOGS!!!!

My daughter really likes this game. Jan 09, 2009
By Richard Brackin Jr. I bought this for my daughter (8 yrs old) and she plays it just about every day for about 15 or 20 minutes. She says she likes the game and it is indeed a neat little game. I even find myself humming the little melody that plays when you launch it and the one during gameplay.
The only thing I've heard her say was the pets don't get hungry quick enough. I think she's used to her Webkinz food levels going down quickly. I don't know if it's a good thing or bad thing, though.
If I had it to do over I would buy this game for her again and again and again.
Nintendogs has slightly better graphics and some nifty features but Petz Dogz Pack holds its own just fine. My daughter plays both.

We like this game Jan 17, 2009

My daughter likes because she can take care of her own dogs....all different breeds. She can accessorize them, feed them, play with them.
It has been a fun game for my 10 year old.

A Kids Review Oct 12, 2009 I love this game. First when you first get on the game you go to the adoption center and you get to choose through the breeds Chihuahua,Siberian Husky,Golden Retriever. I adopted the Chihuahua & Husky. Then once I had a baby it was a cute baby Chihuahua.
I think to unlock all the breeds you have to have 3 or 4 babies (puppies). Each day you get on the game you unlock a food or drink.I like how you can mix breeds because once I mix breeded a Husky & Boxer and got a Husky bodied puppy and it had a Boxer looking coat. Every time you make friends with the puppy or dog at the park, snow field, beach you unlock the outfit there wearing. The reason I wanted this game because you could have babies (puppies) Overall I really like this game and I do think if you love dogs and puppies you would probably like this game.

An Ok Game Jan 18, 2009
By Kaitlyn Luyster This is a game like most games has good features and not so good features. Let's start off with the bad.
The Bad:
I found that when I went to the dog park and played in the challenge area sometimes my dog would do the obstacle but the game would say that my dog didn't do it. Another thing that frustrated me at first was the camera views, there are a set of camera views that took a little while for me to get used to. Another thing was that when you go to the park or the other locations (once you unlock them) it takes a decent amount of time for your dog to become friends or best friends with the dog that is there. You may be wondering then don't make them friends but if your dog becomes best friends with the dog at the location it will receive a present of the outfit the dog is wearing. One more thing that is not necessarily a bad thing, but I was not aware of was that you can only chose from 3 breeds when you first start (Golden Retriever, Chihuahua, and Husky)
The Good:
One thing that I really liked was that you can breed your dog to get another purebred or a mix. I also really like that as your dog grows up it actually gets bigger in size. I like how the challenge area at the park changes the setup of the obstacles. Another thing that I liked was that your dog or dogs would go into the appropriate room if they were hungry, thirsty, had to go potty, needed a bath, etc... Another thing I liked was the ability to enter codes to unlock items and special breeds. I also liked the fact that you can customize your room. Something else that I didn't know was in the game was the camera and the photo album. One last thing that I liked the idea of was that you can play wireless with friends and one of your dogs can breed with one of your friends dog (I just thought this was kind of neat I have not actually tried it)
