In this game choose from miniature dachshund, golden retriever, beagle, pug, Siberian husky, shih tzu. Players care for and train their puppy by petting it, walking it and buying it supplies to play with. As a puppy competes in obedience and agility trials, owners can win money to purchase other puppy breeds. 5Awesome  Jul 19, 2010
My 10 year old daughter loves this games she has played it for years and she still plays it!She started screaming she found the jack russell book which lets you adopt the jack rusell and she said she got it by putting the knit hat on her dogs every time she would take one for a walk and she changed her clock to the lucky clock and BOOM! She got it good for kids like 6 and up.

4Digital Dogs  Jun 25, 2010
I personally like this game to play from time to time when I need a break from the day's activities. Initially it seems like a lot of work, and like it takes you forever to get any special, unloackable breeds. However, after a while, the newness wears off. If you like constant stimulation and active gaming, then this probably isn't the right game for you.

However, because i live a decently busy lifestyle, it's nice to use this game to calm down in the evening and to get my mind off of everything. I do wish you could have "overall stats" to see on the puppy, like intelligence level, obedience level, speed/stamina, that kind of thing, and that you could breed your dogs. It's like they do have different temperaments, and I would love to know how well I would do if I could breed them.

3Gets old after a while...  Apr 30, 2010
This was my very first Nintendo DS game; I actually bought the game with my DS system. The first week or two that I played around with it, it was somewhat enjoyable. The puppies were cute and I entertained myself by entering them in competitions (which they never won...maybe it was just me). After the novelty wore off, however, it got pretty old. Giving them baths, feeding them, walking them...it was the same thing day in and day out. I knew that was the premise of the game, I just didn't expect it to get old so fast. I eventually found myself turning on my DS out of some weird sense of obligation rather than expecting to have fun playing a game. I love the concept of the virtual pet (I had about 15 Tamagochis and Nano Pets); I guess I was just hoping for more variety in what you could do with them considering the system capabilities. Everyone raved about this game, so I was hoping for something greater. I guess it just goes to show not every game is suitable for every person.

5Great Game and fun to play  Mar 29, 2010
I really enjoy this game. It is fun to raise a puppy, train it, feed it, and enter it into contests.

4Nintendogs Dachshund and Friends  Feb 11, 2010
My granddaughter age 11 received this Nintendo DS for Christmas last year from her dad and loved it. She loved giving the dogs names and taking care of them. She picked up very quickly on how to use it. Because my granddaughter liked it so much, this year I purchased one for my nephew's daughter who is 3. She had her older sister show her how to use it and she also has enjoyed it. Worth buying.
