Sims and Animal Crossing = My Sims Agents Oct 04, 2009
By C. Irish
"Read On!"
This is an interesting game. There is a lot to do. When you first start playing My Sims Agents, you create your Sim Agent by picking your appearance, gender, and name. After that you name your assistant and name your town. Shortly after, you are given your first assignment and are set loose inside your town. You meet the Mayor who helps assign your mission and then you meet the various townspeople who help you on your mission to foil the bad guys in your township and you'll explore.
Time moves rather quickly in the Sim Agent world and certain ammenities are available during certain hours: such as the clothing store, candy shop, furniture store, petting zoo, Pizzaria, etc. You are given a type of ray gun that zaps the essence out of things like buildings, trees, rocks, signs, fountains, and items around the town that you can interestingly make new buildings and houses and decorations for your town. If you have enough essence and floor plans you can make all kinds of things and customize your entire town - you do this inbetween your job as a secret agent when you work with the local police officer, mayor and towns people to keep crime off the streets of your customized town. Your essence gun can run out of power fast and there is the wonderful candy shop to keep you in delacacies that give your essence gun more
power.
The town is also very big and is split into many areas and sections that you can walk to or take a cab to such as: forest, country, mountains and more. After you play awhile and solve a few mysteries, the town grows and grows. There are a lot of areas to decorate and explore for clues and meet the many people of the town and help them. You can do things for them or give them hugs or treats to make them feel better and you make friends.
As the game progresses you are given lots of things from the townspeople to use. There are many mini games that have you practice your Sim Agent talents and earn money and win medals. There is a ton of activities in this game!! You have a cute little house that you decorate with things you buy and are given by the townspeople and your friends - much like Animal Crossing and you customize your town much like Sims - you don't control them to the extent of the regular Sims games but the town and house are yours to perfect.
The town has a lot of ground to cover and there are a lot of activities and mini games. It's pretty huge. If you can't get enough of games like Animal Crossing or Magician's Quest, and you like Sims, then this is a great game that goes beyond those two games to create a unique world where you are the Secret Agent and keep order in your town-it's cute as is Animal Crossing or Sims Kingdom and those types of games, but it definately has enough going on for extended game play that keeps you occupied and interested.

LOVE IT! Dec 07, 2009
By M. Sarrao My 8-year-old LOVES this game. He really enjoys solving problems, and this game gives him that. He also gets to "design" characters, etc. which is fun. This is a great game for developing higher order/critical thinking skills. Players need to use clues, etc. to solve problems and figure things out. I highly recommend this game.

Cute game, good fun for kids Sep 14, 2010
By Kristen I bought this game for my son's 9th birthday - and a copy for myself as well. It's kind of like Animal Crossing but with actual goals and a story... We've both really enjoyed it. There are plenty of minigames to play to earn $$ and it's fun to go on "secret missions". This game is great for both the young... and the young at heart.

Met Expectations Jan 09, 2010

My 9 year old daughter loves it. I appreciate a game that does not involve primping an animal (but is her favorite). She also enjoyed having something different.

Different from Wii Game Jan 12, 2011
By E. Slockbower We got the My Sims Agents for the Wii and my 13 year old daughter loved it so much she asked me to buy the DS version. She also loves the DS version and told me that the game is different from the Wii version. I haven't played the game myself but know that when I am purchasing games for my kids I like to know if it is exactly the same game or not.
