Way fun! Apr 17, 2010 My son begged for this game, and though it is his (he's nine) the game is a lot of fun. Multiple games and stages...lots to destroy and race. If you are a fan of Monster Jam, you'll love the game!

My son loves it Feb 10, 2010 It is great entertain ment for my osn. He lent his original to a sick friend down the block and we did not want to ask for it back so I bought him another one. It probably is great on the Wii also but do not want both

What? No Big Foot?????? Jan 31, 2010 I really did not expect any Monster Truck games to be fun on the DS, but Monster Jam certainly proved that thought wrong, so I gave this next version of Urban Assault a go and I now like it even better then the predecessor.
More action, thrills and spills have been added to this upgrade from the last. Now this time around there is a lot more to do then just race and squash cars. Through the challenge mode there is 4 events to choose, each with a heap of tracks and challenges inside them. There is the standard racing for first place against a few other trucks, or just against 1 in other events, but there is also some new additions like the jumping events where you just see what you can crash into when you skyrocket your truck. As well as a few more events like that.
Out of all the coarses and events to play, I must say, there is a lot of them, but I only found maybe 2 or 3 of them to actually be challenging. But none the less, it was still a fun game to play. There are several trucks to choose and unlock, but my disappointment was they have not included my favorite truck, the original monster truck itself, Big Foot. I guess Bigfoot is his own game now, and what a boring game that was, I bet whoever owns the right to Big Foot played there game, then this and wished they had have allowed Big Foot to be in this one.
This game is recommended for any age, you will discover ways to build up boosts (like nitro) and discover shortcuts and goodies along the way to entertain anyone of any age for a while.
However, I can't really give the game any more then 3 to 3 and a half stars, due to replay value being nil. So many decent games would be much more popular if the designers would just put some effort into keeping you coming back to a game. Once I had finished all the events, placed first in all of them, and unlocked pretty much everything to unlock, I haven't felt any need to come back to the game. Maybe if I played it with a friend on WIFi it would be fun, but for 1 player, it's done, accomplished, the end.
