4Mahjong Quest Graphics  Jan 14, 2008 By Robin Lewis
I have a number of downloads and versions of this game, but love my Nintendo DS and thought this would be a great addition. The game itself is enjoyable, but the graphics are terrible. Very tiny and you have to spend all your time trying to really keep a focus on the tiles. There is no way that I can find to change the style of the tiles and that is also disappointing.

So overall if you don't care about the clarity of what you are spending tons of time looking at then good game. On a scale of 1-10 the graphics are about a 2.

4The tiles are soooo small!!!  May 17, 2008 By Graphic Novel / Manga Reader "ownstoomanybooks"
I am an adult gamer who apparently is getting up in age where I am starting to need reading glasses.

I have played MahJong online on my PC many times and enjoyed it. When I found out they made one for the DS, I was excited!

I was shocked that the tiles were so small that I couldn't tell the differences. I have less then perfect vision and only need reading glasses. Since I haven't bought a reading glasses yet, I can barely read the tiles. It was too much of a strain trying to recognoize tiles. After about 1/2 hour my eyes got used to the tiles and was able to see the differences and played. Then it became fun to play.

It's a shame they had to make the tiles so small making it hard for those who have less than perfect vision. I'll see how I feel once I get reading glasses. If that doesn't help the strain, I will sell the game back out.

5Hours of Entertainment  Dec 27, 2007 By P. Hildenbrand
For several years now, I've been a very big fan of Mahjong. I don't play it too often, but I did get my DS so I'd have something to do when waiting at the Dr's offices, waiting for people to arrive at places, etc. This was one of the first games I bought for my DS and I have not been disappointed. Even the timer seems to last forever, so that is helpful for keeping the stress level down. The only downfall I can see is that the "classic" mode is not really the classic mahjong I remember, but it's still tons of fun. Even on easy mode, it's still quite challenging.

This is a great game for someone (like me) who has ADHD and cannot stand sitting still for even short periods of time. This was recently proven when I had to go pick up a friend from the airport. We only had to wait about 15 minutes for his luggage to arrive, but it's difficult for me to stay still and not become agitated for that long with my ADHD. This game helped to keep me calm and able to wait patiently.

3it would be fun if you could see it  May 12, 2009 By D. Mckinzie
I am a huge computer Mah Jong fan and thought it would be fun to have the game on my ds. Wrong! I realize the ds doesn't have the biggest screen in the world, but the tiles on this game are so minscule you can barely see them, let alone which one they are. I've looked and so far haven't found any way to enlarge them. If the makers of the game had tried, they could have made the game patterns fit with slightly larger pieces. I don't wear glasses (or need them) and have good eyesight and these tiles are just too tiny. All you can do is squint at them and try to guess if two of them really are the same. The game would be fun if you could see it, but I've tried for several days and just can't get into it because of the tile size.

4If you like Mahjong games you will enjoy this one  May 14, 2008 By CW "luv2stamp"
Overall, I really like this game. I have played Mahjong on the computer and my GBA (which I can seem to find anymore) for years and was looking for a version for DS.

I like that you have the option of playing the progessive game or just the traditional puzzles. I tend to get stuck on the "quest" puzzles so being able to switch back and forth between the quest and the regular puzzles keeps me interested.

Others have complained about the size of the tiles but considering the size of the screen, what can you expect? I find it really isn't that bad, you get used to it.

I can honestly say that this is one of my most played games.
