Fun, just don't buy Beach or Country- they are the very same Jan 04, 2010
By Mrs. Rachel S I am so mad- my daughter loved Littlest Pet Shop: Beach so when I saw Littlest Pet Shop: City at Target for $10 off, I grabbed it! When my daughter loaded it up, I thought the story looked VERY familiar...exactly the same! I can't believe it. What a scam to package the same game with one or two new animals? Come on. Very disappointing. However- the game is fun and my 4 year old loves it!

Lots of reading but still lots of fun! Jan 03, 2010

I got my niece this game for Christmas and she has had SO much fun with it! Her favorite is still Littlest Pet Shop: Beach, but the City game has all kinds of new friends and activities to do. Her favorite is the peacock, which is very cute! It's also fun to play around with the accessories and really personalize your pet in the game. Her best friend has the same game, and they can play together now, which is an added bonus. Yes, there is a lot of reading, but that just makes it challenging and educational, all the more reason for kids and parents to enjoy playing it together.

Littlest pet shop Jan 07, 2010
By Mrs. Susan L. Pribula I bought my granddaughter this game for her DS. I found it on Amazon with the best price. She loves the game. I was glad I found it as all the stores I shopped at wanted more or were out of it. I am glad she loves it. It was worth buying it.

Great Game. Jan 04, 2010
By G. Denny My daughter is also 6 years old (October 18, 2003) and plays this game just fine. Like other DS games, there is some reading but a 1st grader should be able to handle it. They may require a little assistance at first but the tougher words are repetitive throughout the game and after an hour or so they should be self-sufficient. I'm not sure why the first reviewer, reviewed her child's learning progress rather than this game, but I can tell you that my daughter loves it. A dose of reading mixed in with game playing is not a bad thing and what little girl does not like the Pet Shop?
Bottom line: If your child can read; you should get the game. If they are just starting to read or cannot read and you are involved and willing to assist them with some quality time; you should get the game. If your child cannot read; don't buy this game.
