LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues combines the fun and creative construction of LEGO bricks with the wits, daring and non-stop action of one of cinema’s most beloved adventure heroes. With a unique, tongue-in-cheek take on all the Indiana Jones films – including for the first time ever Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull – LEGO Indiana Jones 2 follows Dr. Jones’ escapades from the jungles of South America to the Peruvian Ruins and beyond. Fans can experience the most authentic LEGO experience yet by designing and building their own levels brick by brick, and by fusing their levels with the ones in the game to create a custom experience. In LEGO Indiana Jones 2, everyone can build, battle and brawl their way through their favorite cinematic moments – or create their own.

3Not my favorite lego DS game....  Mar 25, 2010
I LOVED the original Lego Indiana Jones for the DS!! So I was really looking forward to this game. I am SOOOOO sorry that we spent $25 on this game. I don't like the addition of the mini-games. My son (who loves ALL the other Lego DS games) doesn't want to play this at all because he says that it is too hard. This whole thing about having to find pages to unlock the actual game levels is annoying. The game just doesn't flow as well as the other Lego games. I already put a deposit down on Lego Harry Potter......and I sure hope the game play is better than this.

5My 5 year old loves this  Mar 19, 2010
I bought this for my son who is 5. He already has all the other lego games for his DS so I knew this would be a hit to. So much that he traded in his old Indiana Jones game. He loves it and I love to see him happy. Enough said. :)

3Frustrating Mini-Games & Challenges  Feb 18, 2010
I am a big fan of the Lego series (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Batman, Rock Band, etc.), so I picked this game up expecting to enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed the others.

Unfortunately, I find the mini-games/challenges within the adventure extremely frustrating. The time limits that are imposed are somewhat unrealistic in certain situations. It is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to collect as many Lego studs as possible AND beat the challenge, if you aren't expecting the time limit to be an issue.

The best strategy here (at least, as far as I have found) is to collect every stud in a scenario and perform any of the actions in the setting, before activating the challenge.

As for exploring the island to recover Indy's missing journal pages, most of those mini-games are not quite as frustrating as the in-game challenges. However, the boulder rolling could really benefit from a slightly lengthier time limit.

There is also some deviation from the actual "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" movie in terms of the story, but I can live with that.

Also disappointing is the lack of the adorable "live action" Lego intros to each part of the story. Instead, you flip through journal pages and see illustrated stills of Lego Indiana Jones and other characters. It lacks some of the humor of the original game.

All in all, this is the first game I have ever played that has made me want to hurl my DS across the room in despair and frustration.
