Extremely addictive, not learning at all Aug 18, 2010 While my 5 year old son learned how to play with this game within one minute after inserting the disk into Wii console, I was disappointed in this game since I was hoping to see some learning content.
This is plain arcade game - consisting of many simple levels - and does NOT require player to move during game (just keep your remote slightly tilted and press same button over and over). This was second disappointment since I expected more physical movements like other Wii games.
Fun for kids May 28, 2010 I have a 3 year old boy and a 5 year old girl and I wanted to get a game that they would both like and be true to the wii motions. I read lots of reviews on Amazon before purchasing this game and I was never able to find it in stores. I showed my kids how to play it and I ended up playing it myself and enjoying it. But I'm most happy that both of my kids can play the game with out the intricate motions of just a game controller but also with the fun wii movements. It's a definitely a great purchase for the kids.
My 3 year olds fave game! May 23, 2010 This is the DS game my 3 year old daughter plays to most. It is composed of very simple mini-games that require no reading to play. They do however require color comprehension and the ability to follow simple directions (such as "blow" or "tap"). Very simple game though, so any kid above preschool age is probably going to be able to finish it fast and probably be bored of it. For beginning DS player though, who want to play games like their big siblings this one is perfect! Its got me through several long car rides with a three year old, and I love that she is able to play this one independenty :) Just don't expect anything fancy from this fame, very simple short Diego themed games is all it is.
Super fun, but a bit short. Apr 12, 2010 This has been by far my five year old's favorite game. He doesn't play a lot of games, and is sometimes intimidated by complicated games. But from the moment we started, he knew exactly what he needed to do to play. I wouldn't consider this an educational game, but it was fun for him. The use of the wiimote was simple and the characters were familiar. I would give this 5 stars, if the game was a bit longer. Over several days, he probably played between 3-4 hours before he completed it. He does still enjoy playing it over, but I expected a little more game play.
Perfect Wii Game for Little Kids Mar 26, 2010 When our son got interested in trying the Wii when he was about 3, I looked high and low for an appropriate game for him. This was the perfect choice. There is enough variety to make it interesting but it is easy for him to play by himself. Even if your child isn't "into" Diego, I think they might enjoy this game. The story follows one of the Diego episodes in that a witch has turned the elephants to stone and Diego and his friends have to break the spell and help a variety of animals along the way. The on-screen instructions are easy to follow ... my son was able to pick it up within 10 minutes. There are several options on how you can play the game (races, story). The frustration level isn't high enough to prevent kids from enjoying themselves but it is challenging enough that they won't find it too easy. Hats off to the developers for creating a game that is just perfect for children ages 3 to 5 who want to play the Wii like the big kids.
