Something very satisfying about knocking the crap out of a dinosaur lol
The controls are very simple and it walks you through each battle. It tells you the weakness of the dinosaur and the button to use for that move. If you lose the battle, you can have a rematch. You hold 3 items you have found in the game (you find them by winning easier battles or walking thru tree branches, so not an issue to find items to use!) that make you stronger with certain moves. You also never run out of lives. The graphics are STUNNING. I walked over a volcano on a tree branch last night. The game doesn't let you fall off, so I was left to enjoy the view. I had to stop and pass around the 3DS on that one. It was AMAZING.
Anyway, I wanted to let you all know about this game. It's not one of the more popular titles out there for the 3DS right now. I commented to my husband that kids 8-10 would LOVE this game. It's strategic enough to hold items that make the right moves stronger, but not frustrating enough to make them quit. Highly addictive, and beautiful... and the 3D doesn't overtake the game. I can see myself finishing this and possibly playing through as different dinosaurs.
Just wanted to give a review for the parents out there. I'd hate to see this one get passed by just because it's not a known title like Streetfighter.

I bought this for my 7 year old son who loves dinosaurs. However, it seems like I play it more than him. Some of the levels are a little difficult for me. I'm no gamer by any means, but I do like this game. My son likes it as well, but hands it over to me when he can't get past a part in the game. Great game for the price.

I bought this game as part of the Amazon Promotions; this game is fun but very linear in nature. Levels and areas are made to drive your character in a single direction but you can double back if you want to but 'world' exploration is limited to a single track.
Graphics wise, when the 3DS is set for 2D graphics, the game looks wonderful (brightly colored character and environment, well designed 'set' pieces) however when you kick on the 3D aperture this game really blows your mind. It looks great!
I would rate this game for someone between the age of a very coordinated 8 year old to a young teen (or young teen at heart).

I have a 13 and a 3 year and they both enjoyed this game. It was crazy looking at it in 3D for me. But the children love it.

My girls absolutely LOVE and adore this Dinosaur game. My youngest plays with it more, and she growls as if she's a dinosaur. The graphics are decent (not superb, but very good) and it's just a whole lot of fun.
